Listen to this conversation carefully and answer the test questions. But first, read the instructions by pressing the Instrucciones button. You'd better read the whole conversation a couple of times before answering the questions. Feel free to stop the recording after each question and rewind when necessary. So, open your ears!
(On the next page is the audio transcription, but don't look at it until you have finished the test.)
2. How to form a music band
I bet you'd like to form your own music band with your friends. Why not? That could be a great experience, and your band might even become famous, who knows? You can find information about it at wikihow.com, a wiki where a lot of people like you write about how to do anything. Have a look at these two articles to begin with. You don't have to read the whole texts, but pay attention to the words in bold, which will guide you through the process.
- How to Form a Band. Here you'll find the way to create a music band. There's a Spanish translation of the article which will help you. There's also a video where young people talk about their experiences.
- How to Create an Awesome Rock Band. In this article (Spanish translation) you'll find photos and vocabulary of musical instruments.
Now do the following activities:
- Create vocabulary lists with words related to music which can be useful for your task. Then share them with your mates. You can share your documents by using web services such as Google Drive.
- Form a group with some of your mates and follow the steps given in the articles to make your own summary in English in order to create your band. Anna's conversation above might be useful to help you start.
- In groups, tell your classmates how you are going to organize and create your band. They might give you some advice.
